After your workout, during which you’ve hopefully perspired a lot, sit in the sauna or steam room for a few minutes to sweat some more and de-tox from the deepest layers of your skin. Stay well hydrated inside and out drinking plenty of water and using a good moisturiser. Place water on the radiators at home to humidify the air.

Sleep by 22:30 to enable the body to repairs itself.

Perform a headstand before bed. Yogic research has proved that performing Sirsasana for a few minutes every day will take a few years off your face by improving your circulation and boosting lymphatic drainage.

Apply the same principle to your hoe and you’ll have more space in which to breathe, to move, to flow, to enjoy. If you want to take it a step further, explore the traditions of Feng-shui. For your body, embark in a colon-cleansing programme to rid it of toxins recycling in your system. This doesn’t have to be done the intrusive way, with a few supplements taken over a few weeks combined with sensible eating, you’ll soon feel super clean inside and out.

Set time aside regularly to cleanse your whole life; music, clothes, finances, Facebook! You’ll have boundless yet calm energy. Banish the clutter that weighs you down inside and out

  • The Euro Heart Journal stated that “2 to 3 hours of overtime per day increases risk of Heart Disease by 60%”; so don’t give in to peer pressure or unrealistic deadlines
  • Run through our 5 layers morning and night; ask yourself, “how do I feel? Physically, Emotionally, Energetically, Mentally, Spiritually?”

  • Don a beloved pendant and twiddle to calm. Keep a tiny photo of a loved one inside a locket or douse yourself in your favourite smelling body oil/butter/perfume which could invite a favourite sense of nostalgia or make you feel invigorated or nurtured

  • Visualise violet light from the crown of your head shielding you all the way down to your toes

  • For every energy stealing negative thought, turn it in to a positive one, eg write down all the benefits of your job if you’re having a bad day

  • Find the nearest health food store and stock up on goodies to protect your health. Positive steps will make you feel positive mentally and positive eating physically
